$18,000 for working mum
Mum returning to the workforce after (5) years discovered she had been paid at the incorrect classification previously. We were able to go back (5) years to claim her a sum of $18,000.
(The IR Act states that an employee or employer can go back within (6) years for any under/over payment.
$5,000 for terminated manager
Manager long term role and was terminated overnight and not much money to show for his efforts. We got back $5,000 as the employer didn’t factor in LSL for over (5) years in NSW.
Quite emotional time for him and we were able to return the money within 24hrs from a letter sent by FMP. Employer mentioned it was a slight oversight.
$12,000 for petrol station attendant
Petrol station attendant was stressed when she called as she didn’t know her rights in regards to her position if a company sold the business and she was being sold out at over $20,000 per year less. Meaning all leave entitlements would be at the decreased amount. We recommended a redundancy which we were able to achieve for her in the sum of $12,000.
